As someone who loves to play tennis but has a busy work schedule. I’m often a last-minute availability or have to cancel kind of a guy. Before Clubmatch, finding a tennis partner was a real struggle. I would spend ages emailing people at my club or trying to arrange games through word of mouth. It was time-consuming and often frustrating. Then I discovered Clubmatch! The ability to filter by skill level and availability made it so easy to connect with players nearby. At the drop of a hat, you can pair up and play with someone. I mentioned it to my local club, and thankfully they have adopted it as their preferred court booking system and now I can play anyone available in the time slots I want to play in. The feature I love the most is the ability to secure court reservations and subsequently distribute the game request to all available participants. The application then efficiently manages the requests on a first-come, first-served basis. And that is a complete gamechanger over all the other tennis apps. No more awkward, “sorry mate, Novak beat you to it” type text and email messages. It also clears my conscience, when works gets in the way and I must let my opponent down. I know Clubmatch will save the day and will find someone to take my place. The integrated court booking system is fantastic. I can see available courts at a glance and book them instantly. It also has cool additional features that allow you to communicate with the club staff and report issues at the club, like a faulty floodlight all within the app. This is what technology should be about, finding problems and creating solutions and making life easier. Clubmatch certainly personifies this.

This is how organising a tennis game used to go before I downloaded Clubmatch: 1. Set up WhatsApp group with players in my league 2. Provisionally book a court at a time I’m free on my club app 3. Message WhatsApp group the time I’m free to play and then work my way through the replies of who is/isn’t free 4. Reply to the first person free and add them to court booking With Clubmatch, all I do now is: 1. Book a court via the app 2. Either add a specific player’s name on the app (and they will either accept or decline) or tick the option where a message goes to any player in the club at my level and whoever is free first, confirms With Clubmatch. I have saved myself several steps and time as everything is done and managed in one place and due to the ease of it all, I’m playing more tennis than ever! Highly recommend.

If you’re hungry to improve your game and to find like-minded and not-so-likeminded players to spar with on your journey to trophy-lifting-stardom, then ClubMatch is the ace in your back pocket. If you’re after that amazing fix of being on court, working hard, getting better and putting into real-time the drills you’ve been working on with your coach, then you need a diversity of players to spar with – practice and the quality of that practice is what will help you nail your weaknesses, sharpen your strategies, and perhaps even improve your banter. ClubMatch is already upping my game, as it delivers me a plethora of quality practice opportunities, suited to me and my availability. If I get a spare hour in my diary and fancy a game, I can very easily check a court’s free and find players at my level via the app to invite, and see who accepts first – game on! No more time-wasting on WhatsApp or lurking awkwardly in front of notice boards or at club socials to take down phone numbers. What serious tennis player wouldn’t want access to the entire pool of skills-matched players at their club, ready and eager for a game? I’ve already used it to play someone I’d never met before, and we’ve now agreed a regular time to play. I highly doubt our paths would have crossed otherwise, as we’re both busy parents running around the sporting lives of our kids, unable to currently make the club’s regular social tennis because of football practice! I also use ClubMatch to book sessions with my coach, and will no doubt book him on an ad hoc basis when I near matches or if the weather means we need to rearrange. How much easier is this app making his life too? But the real gem is the ability to move up the ranks in your club via the app – the more you play and the greater diversity of players you play, the more scores you keep, the better the calibration at determining and re-evaluating your level. And I for one am very much looking forward to the stealth climb to the top! The bottom line is - I’m not sure I want other clubs to have ClubMatch, as I would lose my competitive edge as a player... So turn away now!

There are also some handy extras, like the option to report issues at the club (such as faulty floodlights) directly through the app. Small things like this make a real difference in keeping everything running smoothly. Of course, in theory, you could do all of this in different ways—log match results on the LTA or ITF websites, schedule games in a shared calendar, or manually message people to arrange matches. You could even book courts separately via the club’s website. But the beauty of Clubmatch is that it brings all these elements together into one seamless experience. Instead of juggling multiple systems, everything is in one place, making organising tennis simpler and more efficient.
